1.1This guide provides a format for documenting information and performance data for an airborne particle penetration test.
1.2Documented data and information are grouped into five categories that define important aspects of each test:
1.2.1Description of material tested,
1.2.2Challenge particles,
1.2.3Test method,
1.2.4Test results, and
1.2.5Source of the data.
1.3Use of this guide is facilitated by adherence to procedures outlined in a standard test method.
1.4The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as standard. No other units of measurements are included in this standard.
1.5This international standard was developed in accordance with internationally recognized principles on standardization established in the Decision on Principles for the Development of International Standards, Guides and Recommendations issued by the World Trade Organization Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Committee.
